Main Awards - Terms & Conditions

BEST CULINARY ESTABLISHMENT

  1. To receive this award, the establishment must enter 5 different classes in the following categories.
  • Class 5: Hot Cooking – Fish fillet
  • Class 6: Hot Cooking – Poultry
  • Class 7: Hot Cooking – Seafood
  • Class 8: Asian Noodles
  • Class 9: Desserts
  • Class 10: Team Challenge
  • Class 12: Hot Pasta Main Course
  • Class 13: Typical Sri Lankan Meal
  • Class 14: Tea Challenge
  • Class 15: Iced Mocktail
  • Class 17: BBQ Sausage Platter
  1. The Challenge Trophy will be presented to the team which accumulates the highest total aggregate
    points from the highest scores of the 5 classes.
  2. The Establishment must win minimum of 3 medals

 

MOST OUTSTANDING CHEF

  1. To qualify for this award the participant must enter 4 classes in the following categories.
  • Class 5: Hot Cooking – Fish fillet
  • Class 6: Hot Cooking – Poultry
  • Class 7: Hot Cooking – Seafood
  • Class 8: Asian Noodles
  • Class 9: Desserts
  • Class 10: Team Challenge
  • Class 12: Hot Pasta Main Course
  • Class 13: Typical Sri Lankan Meal
  • Class 17: BBQ Sausage Platter
  1. The candidate with the highest aggregate score will be the winner
  2. A competitor must win minimum of 2 medals

 

MOST OUTSTANDING PASTRY CHEF

  1. To qualify for this award the participant must enter at least 2 classes from the following;
  • Class 1: Decorated Cake
  • Class 4: Bread and Pastry Display
  • And,
  • Class 9: Desserts which is Compulsory and should win gold or silver medal
  1. The candidate with the highest aggregate score will be the winner
  2. A competitor must win 2 medals

 

MOST PROMISING YOUNG CHEF

  1. To qualify for this award participant must won a gold or silver medal in class 10: Young chef
    category and a medal in any other competition category.
  • The highest aggregate of the two scores will be the winner
